At today’s inauguration ceremony for newly appointed President Joe Biden, Lady Gaga blessed the stage with her rendition of the national anthem. While her ability to sing us to peace is astonishing, her bright crimson lip and thick black lashes were equally as impressive.
According to Vogue, the A Star is Born actress sought long-time makeup artist Sarah Tanno for the patriotic look. “While her makeup was classic and romantic, with the perfect shade of red lipstick, which felt appropriate for such a vibrant day, the rest of her makeup was soft and luminous,” says Tanno.
To create the bold look, Tanno used a handful of products from Gaga’s own line, Haus Laboratories. First in the lineup was the Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon ($18) in 1950. For her eyes, Tanno shaded her crease and lids with the Haus Laboratories Glam Room Palette ($24) in Fame. Swiped on the lashes: Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara ($27).
Next in the glam lineup comes her base products. For her contour, Tanno credits the Haus Laboratories Heat Spell Bronzer + Highlighter Duo ($26) in Desert and for her blush, the Haus Laboratories Head Rush Blush + Highlighter Duo 9$26) in Flirt.
